leeds or york for history?

hello, i'm currently deciding between which of my offers to firm and im deciding between leeds and york- both are commutable to me.

however, leeds is a decent bit more commutable- it's only 5 miles and a decently simple 10 min train ride. york is about 30 miles, and while it would be from the same train station it'd be a lil more complicated, with a train ride to the station and then having to worry about getting to the university itself- a journey that is a lil more complex to worry about and a little longer, as it could be about 50.

i do prefer the course at york- i'm doing straight history there compared to ancient history at leeds, i feel like the breadth of the york course would make a better decision, but i would still really enjoy leeds with ancient greece/rome being my favourite period in history- would this slight preference for york make it worth the commute? or should i just do leeds as a safer bet

I prefer the course at York ... I like the breadth of the course at York.

Its the course that you will be studying everyday for the next 3 years, not 'the Uni'.

You will probably be invited to Offer Holder visit days at both - a good time to look around more critically, asks questions about the course, and ask current students what they like about being there.
