ial english language unit 2

hi, im doing english language ial edexcel unit 2 rn which is basically global variations of english as a language. I want to know if its fine if i write abt Piagets theory of language to support my points, its mainly a psychological theory but i think it would show the examiner i can apply a range of theories. I would ask my english teacher but i dont want to spend 10 mins explaining the theory to my teacher lol

I would say that theorists such as Piaget are highly subject to units such as child language and while I get what you mean about wanting to make connections, Im not sure Piaget would serve a greater purpose compared to the vast amount of other theorists that have conducted research specific to global variations of English.

i think it'd make sense when analysing an extract, i could say that as piaget says thought and schemas influence language so the use of specific words or phrases when discussing something else can be because of a limited worldview?

also im kind of lost for unit2, do u happen to have any tips?? thanks
