Vet med work experience
Hi I am a year 12 aspiring vet student. I was wondering if the work experience I have gained is enough to apply with. I have the minimum hours but would I actually have a chance applying with it?
1 week small animal vets
1 week small animal vets

1 week lambing
1 week cattery/ kennels
3 daysish dairy
1 day abattoir
It would also be nice to know how much work experience other people had when they got offers!

You’ve got plenty. I had far less than that and got offers on both my application rounds. A lot of vet schools have dropped requirements because it’s so hard for many to get experience!
Only other thing that is invaluable to have is customer service experience so try get a job if you don’t already, they really value that.. people skills are much harder to teach ☺️
