Are the private halls social?

Got the email to register for accommodation yesterday and I'm not sure which to pick. Private halls seem nicer with nicer things, but they're sort of far from the non-private halls and have less people per flat. If I picked one of the private ones would it make it harder to socialise and meet people outside of my halls, even if I pick one close-ish to the non-private buildings (like new medlock), or is it just pure luck?

Hi there,
I actually moved to private halls and absolutely loved it! You end up chatting a lot with neighbors because you meet each other in the facilities and other great social spaces. For example, I stayed at MSV and ended up having game nights with neighboring flats and going out together. It was really lovely!
If you have any other questions, don’t be afraid to ask.
