Switching degree for campus

Hi,

I applied for the LLB Law with Business program at the University of Exeter's Cornwall campus because it seemed like an interesting degree, and I received an unconditional offer. However, after researching the Cornwall campus, I am considering whether it is possible to switch to the LLB Law program at the Streatham campus. I understand that admission to the Cornwall campus might be a bit easier, but I am curious about the possibility of making this switch and how I should approach this situation.

Thanks.

Phone Exeter and ask - just asking doesnt commit you to anything.

Hi Mkkelly,

I'd encourage you to get in touch with the admissions office via the contact details listed here, where you can either phone or use the online enquiry form. Try and include as much detail as possible about your application so that the admissions team have all the necessary information to advise you.

As you are already likely aware, the different courses at different campuses may have different entry requirements, and so I would make sure to check on the website under the 'Entry Requirements' tab here to check that you satisfy that criteria.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.

Hi gsak24,

Every student will be different in their priorities of what they're looking for out of their time at university and their degree, but I can reassure you that there is no difference in the quality of education or teaching between any of the University of Exeter campuses.

You may wish to consider whether you'd rather be in a larger city like Exeter, or by the coast in a seaside town like Falmouth, and also differences in the courses offered between campuses. Each campus is home to it's own team of research academics, and so even courses with similar titles offered at both campuses, such as Geography, will be different as the modules offered will be directly informed by the research interests and expertise of the academics based at each campus.

I've been a student at the Penryn Campus for many years throughout my undergraduate, Masters and now PhD. I've loved the smaller size of the campus which allows for more interactive, smaller group teaching and more varied ways of learning and assessment - with a particular emphasis on practical work and field trips across many of our degrees. I've also loved being a student in Cornwall, and the unique lifestyle this offers, including regular trips to the beach for sunset BBQs, going for early morning sea swims or surf sessions before lectures, and watching incredible bands play at the Eden Project.

If you have any concerns about differences between the multiple University of Exeter campuses then I would be happy to answer any questions you have.
