WJEC Criminology grade requirement confusion

Hi everyone,

I got a conditional offer from KCL to study Digital Media and Culture. The offer was AB in my A-levels and a D in my WJEC Criminology diploma. The issue is, I have no idea what they mean by the D, and my teachers don't either. Criminology uses the A*- E system, but one of my teachers thinks that KCL would never offer me a D as its too low, so they probably mean distinction. My other teacher says that KCL are smart enough to know that Criminology WJEC Diploma uses the A*-E system, so they actually mean a grade D. I recieved the offer a month ago and I am still very confused on what KCL mean by the D, as both my teachers have different opinions. If they do mean distinction, what is the A*-E equivalent? Im very confused...

The only way to obtain clarity here is to contact KCL and ask.

Yeah this was my approach too, but my teacher told me that they've seen that my predicted grade for criminology is an A from UCAS, so she told me there is no point contacting them as they know what they're doing. I should probably contact them anyway if its making me so confused 😅
