Do you know anyone that got into Oxford Brookes even though they missed their grade?

I currently have a conditional offer from Oxford Brookes and the requirements for UCAS Tariff Points for Architecture is 136 (Distinction). I'm just afraid that I might get rejected when I get my final exam results and it would be 120 (Merit). Would I be considered?

I also don't know how to apply for contextual offers, is that an automatic thing from the university or do I have to manually apply for it?

Although Oxford Brookes ask for 136 UCAS points (e.g. AAB at A level), in recent years they've confirmed the place of all offer-holders who achieved 120 UCAS points (e.g. BBB at A level). In fact, the most common grade profile for accepted candidates in recent years is BBC (112 UCAS points). See the "Historical entry grades data" section of this page for confirmation.

Two caveats:
When UCAS pull this information together they discard the top 5% and bottom 5% of the data, so there may have been some offer-holders with 120 UCAS points who didn't have their place confirmed.
Those statistics show what's happened in the recent past. There's no guarantee that the same will happen this year.

Regarding contextual offers, they're automatic and rely on information you've provided in your UCAS application. If you believe that you're eligible for a contextual offer but haven't received one, then contact the university concerned. They may have made a mistake.
