Is it too late for A level Maths?

I did really bad in all my mocks throughout year 12 and 13 but i've locked in since the end of February but what are the realistic chances of me getting above a D?

How bad is "really bad"? How much effort did you put into those mocks?

If you didn't put in much effort, and you've now decided to study hard, then achieving above a D is certainly possible.

Really bad like U level bad but you’re right, I didnt try at all tbh but everyone I speak to says getting a decent grade at this point is too optimistic

Well, if you didn't try at all then you don't really have any idea when you're at, grade-wise. Perhaps you're really a "C" student if you put in the effort. Or perhaps you're not. You'll find out on results day.

honestly if you literally drill yourself doing all the past papers at least third time you can go up to B

prioritise the topics worth the most marks, like differentiation and integration, and a pass should be possible

Given that we're talking about A level Maths, what grade are you considering to be "a pass"?

An E, which is considered a pass in A-Levels (as they said they’re getting a U, though a D/C, maybe B, is possible with effective revision from now).

OK, thanks. I was just wondering, as they'd asked "what are the realistic chances of me getting above a D?" So being told that a grade E "should be possible" was probably less encouraging than you might have been aiming for.

Get the a level maths CGP book, read through it making notes and do some past papers

It's possible.
What aren't you doing well in when it comes to a level maths for both as and a2 that you've learnt so far.
What are he topics what is it that's not making sense for you

In AS the log and ln stuff doesn’t really make sense yo me which then Im struggling with year 2 differentiation and integration, then there’s all the cos(a+b) rules which all make 0 sense to me so basically a few year 1 base knowledge are making year 2 so hard to understand

Ok then well for diffentiation A2 they are 3 types. Product Quotient and Chain. Product is when two expressions are multiplied for example x*2sinx quotient when they divide like ln2x/x*2. chain is for any other differentiation. Quotient formula is in the formula booklet and Product formula is the first line of the Quotient formula but a plus instead of minus and there's no divide for Product. Chain my teacher teachers it ad there's a thing inside a thing. Like sin 2x. There's a 2x inside a sin and you for the Chain rule. Differentiate the outside leave the inside unchanged extra times by the insides derivative. So you would differentiate sin Leave 2x in the cos the same and then times by the derivative of 2x. So cos2x differentiates to 2cos2x. Would you like an integration one too or the log stuff. Only if it helps of course . Hope it's useful
