Higher Modern Studies advice

Hi, I am currently in 5th year and about to sit my Highers in May. one of my Highers is Modern Studies. i am wondering if anyone else studying Higher Modern Studies how many essays are you studying for each topic? Also what essay questions do you think will turn up and what will the 12 marker will possibly be?

Tbh I’m not too sure about what 12 markers will come up, but we’re doing approximately 12 essays all together, for democracy in uk and Scotland I think there’s about 4 essays and then crime and the law I think there’s 4, and then world issues were 5 or 4 essays again I’m not completely sure since were still finishing up world issues. I really hope electoral systems comes up. And I’m PRAYINGGGG that wider communities does not come up. I hate that essay so much

But please I beg you don’t cram memorising all your essays 2 days before the exam. That’s what I did for the prelim and I STRUGGLEDDDD so badly. And only managed to get 45%, so barely scraping a pass. It’s not wroth it whatsoever and studying much earlier just gives you that peace of mind and ensures you get a good grade. So when results day comes you’re not absolutely dreading it. Lol sorry this was such a long reply kinda got off topic. 😭

we got told that there’s 6 essays for democracy, and 5 for the other two topics. So overall, we are advised to learn 12 essays at a minimum as it’ll guarantee a question in every topic
