DSA Travel Costs

I am a Year 12 student and I'm getting closer to having to think about university. Due to personal circumstances I will need to commute to my chosen university. I am only looking at the unis less than one hour away from where I live

I know that Travel costs can be paid for but I am wondering how flexible the transport is

Will I be restricted to only being able to stay on campus during lecture hours or is it more on a basis of I get to choose when to travel to and from campus?

I fear that I will lose out on many campus resources if I am only limited to the hours I have lectures but also the social aspect

So the DSA travel allowance is for people who are unable to use public transport and so will incur additional costs to attend education. You would have to provide evidence in the form of drs letters etc to justify this.
It’s done on a reimbursement basis on the difference eg if a bus round trip would be £5 but your tax was £20 they will reimburse you £15. So as far as I’m aware it’s not prebooked to be completely set times you just get an allocated allowance of money you can claim back due to additional costs
