Should I switch to applied science

Im a first year a level students and Im doing Chemistry Biology and Psycology and my as exams are in 2 months

Im really struggling with the work load of these 3 a level subjects and Im not best suited to the exams and all the content which comes with these subjects at the moment im at a grade d/e for chemistry and biology and at a c for psycology

I feel like I would be better doing applied science as it would be more courseowork and more practical work which I feel I would be better suited to as well as it being less and more manageable content

I want to do something to do with biology / chemistry at university but not medicine

(For reference I did combined science for gcse and got a 6,7 and I got a 7 for psycology at gcse )

Should I drop my subjects and restart next year doing applied science

I'd try and narrow down some uni options and courses before doing anything to get an idea of where you would stand entry requirements wise, I've seen a few courses that accept the Applied Science btec but want it alongside an additional science A Level.
