SFE and home fees on a dependent leave to enter visa of a spouse

Hi, I moved to the UK in july 2024 due to my step dad residing here and im currently in year 12 doing my A levels. I want to apply to medicine next year but I dont know if im eligible for sfe or home fees. I would have lived here for 2 years by the time I start uni. My step dad is a UK national and has been living here for over 5 years and I currently hold a leave to enter visa and I came here on a dependent child visa of a spouse please help!!

Hi there, what country are you originally from? What is the marital status of your step dad? (are your sponsors married? Or living together?). Thanks, Stephen.

Hi again. to qualify under the under Home Funding (Non-UK National Family Member of a UK National) route both yourself and your step-father would need to meet the following criteria:

For to be eligible for full funding the UK National and the non-UK family member must be a resident in the UK, Gibraltar, European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland for 3 years prior to the first day of the first academic year of the course.
(So for a September start this would be 3 years prior to the 1st of September).

Thanks, Stephen.
