Transferring from Open University to a Brick University

Hi there,
By any chance has anyone transferred from the first year of OU studies to either first or second year of a Brick University?

I have no previous level 3 qualifications due to personal circumstances (that I have evidence for) besides a level 3 EPQ at a grade A. This is why I chose Open University to begin with. Unfortunately for me, I find it quite lonely and believe I would benefit greatly from attending university in person.

I have sent emails out to about 7-10 different universities about the possibility. I have yet to hear back!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

From what I gathered from this University of Edinburgh page, it would appear that they would want the certificate (stage 1) worth 120 credits, of which your modules will change depending on what the degree you are trying to get into is.

Reading University states "Students with 60 credits from Open University modules will satisfy University minimum requirements for entry to undergraduate study. If you have 120 credits we may be able to consider you for admission into the second year."

I wouldn't take this as the definitive answer though - the universities you have in mind may have their own requirements so it is best to await these responses.

Perhaps you can check for your institutions of choice requirements by using the search phrase I used to get the above info: "Entry requirements for applicants taking Open University qualifications"
