Little help please

I’m thinking of doing an undergrad for psychology and counselling in Strathclyde, and I’m just kinda confused, what does it mean by 1st sitting and 2nd sitting because on the website for the entry requirements it says 1st sitting: AAAA
And then 2nd sitting: AAAAB
I’m doing 3 highers this year (s5) and then I’m going to do 4 highers next year (s6)making it 7 highers all together by the end of s6. Will I still be considered for application. Is it worth applying to

First sitting means that in s5, you would need to get 4A's at higher. 2nd sitting means your 6th year grades combined with your s5 grades so you'd only need 2 more subjects, one at an A and one at a B. They might ask for specific subjects in these.
Unfortunately, as you are only taking three highers this year, you will not achieve the 4 A's at first sitting, so you won't be considered as an applicant. It would be worth looking into other universities as their entry requirements might be lower than these.
Best of luck.

Hi, it would be AAAA in s5 or AAAAB by end of s6. If you were on target to achieve AAAAB by end S6 you would be considered as it does not say you need to have obtained AAAA by end S5. However, many courses have a high number of applications so often give offers to those with more highers and more highers in S5
