Reapplying for canbridge lit

I was rejected by Oxford pre-interview because I flopped my LNAT test so bad and upon recent revelations I realise that law isn’t what I want to do and I’ve been ignoring my persistent passion of literature. I’m now focused on applying to Cambridge for literature as I prefer the syllabus however I’d have to take a gap year to do this. In order to apply, I need A*AA but I am aiming for A*A*A in literature, history and maths respectively. I think literature I can get an A* and maybe history too, maths is harder as it is at a B right now. I know that the personal statement changes so there might be a heavier emphasis on admissions test and I’m really bad at unseen prose so I need help on how to prepare for the ELAT. I have grades 999777765 for gcse which is quite low for a Cambridge applicant but considering my High School only had 34% achieved five grades between 9 to 5 including English and maths I think contextually my grades are alright. However, does Cambridge absolutely not allow people who get a B, is this automatic rejection despite context?

It may not be an automatic rejection but it would definitely make your application much less competitive. If you are able to bring it up to an A, that would definitely help a lot. A*AA and A*A*B are not treated the same and only the previous meets the entry requirements.

you could look into the cambridge foundation year if eligible as you would only need BBB
