Clearing July

Hi,
Does anyone know if you can apply for clearing in July even if you don't hold all of your grades yet, I have all my A levels but not a gcse that is required for the course yet. I sadly didn't get accepted for the course due to my ucas points being too low from my A levels, but wanted to try through clearing. I was told you may need all your grades to go into clearing in July?

Clearing is only open to those who have achieved grades.
If a Uni requires a specific GCSE, they will still want it for Clearing places.
And if you have already been rejected by a Uni, they will not reconsider you in Clearing for the same course - clearly, you still dont have the required UCAS points.

Hi @Rose 11

We're please to see you are hoping to study at Brighton University 😊

If you have applied this year for the Nursing (Child) BSc (Hons) and been made unsuccessful you will not be able to re-apply for the same course through clearing for 2025 entry.

You will be welcome to apply for a different course via clearing for 2025 entry once you hold all of your grades.

Some of our courses, such as nursing, require you to hold you Level 3 (A-Level) qualifications as well as GCSE results when you apply to us through clearing.

Please feel free to call our enquiries team on 01273 644644 to discuss your options.

I hope this is helpful ☺️

Would adult nursing count as a different course?

Hi @Rose 11

Yes, we'd be happy to consider you for Nursing (Adult) BSc (Hons) through clearing 😊 Please feel free to contact us in July, once you have your GCSE results, and we can discuss a clearing offer with you.

We look forward to hearing from you!
