Should I Email Oxford? Please Help!

Hey everyone,
I applied for the MSc in Education (Digital and Social Change) at Oxford on January 9th (January deadline), and I know they say you usually get an update within 8 to 10 weeks, so I thought today might be the day. But I haven’t heard anything yet.

The reason I’m asking is that I’ve been selected as a semi-finalist for a funding opportunity in my home country, and if my application to Oxford has been rejected, I’ll need to let them know that I’m no longer eligible for the final stage.

Do you think it’s too early to email Oxford today or should I just wait until the end of week 10 as they usually suggest?

Would love to hear your thoughts!

If they usually suggest waiting until the end of week 10 then, yes, you should wait until then.

i am in the same situation as you. i explained my situation to every unis i applied to and some are kind enough to accelerate the process. my department in oxford, however, explained that they will process all applicants by march 21st.

regardless, go ahead and email them your situation. i am sure they will assist you. goodluck!

Btw, got an email back from them stating the same thing that they will process all applications on 21st of March. But mine mandatorily need to have an interview offer so I am not hoping much. I'm guessing all master's degree's result will be on the same date. Good luck!

Did you get in? If so, could you please message me privately as I'm trying to apply to the same program and I'm also an international student!
