Nottingham Trent University- Fashion Promotion and Communication Course

Hey, yeah I had mine on the 19th and still havent heard back it says they will get back in 15 working days which would have made it last weds for me! Don't know whether to chase it up of not have u done anything?

please could anyone tell me what the interview was like, and the group discussion because the questions on the sheet seem really hard! and do they ask each person them in turn? my interview is on wednesday!

I've put it as my firm choice does anybody know how you get a NTU ID because that's what it's saying i need when i go to put a deposit on halls?

think we get sent it in the post at spring time?

hey, well in my interview, none of the questions came up! they put us in a group then gave us loads of pics of designers, celebs, styles etc and we had to somehow relate them all together and speak about them/present them to the person after like 15 mins or so. Basically talking and bouncing off each other, showing your knowledge etc. Really not as bad as you think, just make your voice heard and show team work. I didn't mention much about certain things, but talked to the other girls and thought of ways to present it. x

There is absolutely nothing to worry about. They did not ask any of the questions on that sheet but I still think it's useful to have that sort of understanding as it gives you an insight into what the course may be like. After a brief tour they split the group up and there is a group interview where they give you loads of pictures and you have to work as a team to make links. You have to present one link to the interviewer (but its really informal). Also remember that you can make a lot out of a little. If you can think of anything extra about that particular picture then speak up- I'm sure they'll be impressed. The individual interview is fine as well. You swap who interviews you. So if you had the lady for the group interview then you'll have your individual one with the man and vice versa. No complicated questions are asked: Who are your heros and heroines of fashion communication- that can be anyone from Christopher Bailey, Tim Walker, Charlotte Moore, Phillip Green, Anna Wintour (although be wary of the fact that everyone will probably choose Anna Wintour and if you do the interviewer is most likely to ask you who is the editor of British Vogue and hardly anyone knows- it is Alexandra Shulman) Again talk about someone that you really believe in and can talk about so that your enthusiasm comes across. The only other question they ask is what are differences between school and going to university? Independence etc etc. There is one lady and one man and both are lovely and definitely not there to trick you- they just want to see how you approach the task and get to know you better.Had my interview 19th January and waiting for a reply- fingers crossed! No longer waiting for a reply--> got an conditional but they raised the conditions i presume due to high applicant rates

erm im not really sure! i like the look of gills and sandby but ive heard they're snapped up quick by people with unconditionals
