A week in the life of a Social Work student

As a first-year student, studying MSW (Master of Social Work) at Kingston University, here is what a (realistic) week looks like for me during term time.

Monday & Tuesday: Kicking off the week with classes
7:30/8AM Get up & ready, have breakfast, and pack my coffee, lunch and snacks for the day
9:10AM Travel to Uni (on the free uni bus)
10AM - 1PM Attend my first class of the week
1-2PM Lunch break
2-4PM Attend second class/seminar

Wednesday: Mid-week errands
Slower morning after 2 days of learning about intense/sensitive topics…
11AM Brunch
12:20PM Travel to Uni
1-3PM Readiness for Direct Practice session group 2
3PM Go to library to work and/or borrow books
4/5PM Grocery shopping
7PM Night in with a home cooked dinner and a movie

Thursday: Work and independent study
10AM-12PM Work as Student Ambassador for university
2-6PM Study at the library or in a nice café
7PM Movie night in or at the cinema

Friday: Self-care day
9-11:30AM Do my laundry, deep clean my space, self-care with music
1-2PM Go for a nice walk along the riverside
2-6PM Study at the library or in a nice café
7PM Movie night in or at the cinema

Saturday & Sunday: chill weekend
11AM Brunch
12-1PM Go for a nice walk along the riverside or in a park
Saturday 2-6PM Study at the library or in a nice café
Sunday 1-3PM Go to local student pantry for a great deal on everyday groceries
Sunday 4-6PM Meal prep for the week
7PM Go to the cinema (Saturday) or movie night in (Sunday)
