I envy the witty, unfortunately I am not blessed with said talent myself and so could only flounder in self pity in such a society. Can I instead become an honoury member who 'silently' appreciates the humour
See that link on the top-most horizontal bar, cryptically entitled 'Socs?'

Use it.

Do not insult Profesh's judgement by implying his society doesn't consist of particularly witful people.

I mean, just have a look at the post below, you insane man. How more witful can one get?

I was referring to the time gap in which no one posted. Surely any implying that the people in the thread were not witful would include myself, therefore why would I do myself such a meta-physical discourtesy?

And very clearly you did.

Because you just admitted you're an insane man.

I like the way that people post on here, insulting others, with misspellings. It seems to . . . . *struggles for the correct phrase* defeat the point. I always find bad grammar and spelling nullify what one is trying to say.

It does rather conjure to mind the image of one attempting to 'run' before they can 'walk', doesn't it?

Really, you're no Scriblerus Club.

The essence of wit is delighting in ignorance, which you and your brethren evidently possess in premium, with your cynical attempts to assert yourselves as wits.

True wit lies in one's awareness of one's lack of wit, for it is the impossible as all possess ignorance.

And plus, brevity is the soul of wit.

That would rule out your message then, so-called "jizzy".

So wit is now pointing out others failures in being witty. Right...

I am aware that this post is as [insert correct word here(ironic?)] as whining about someone whining

I love that the word wit is in inverted commas, thus inferring an intrinsic sarcasm and indicating that it, in the context of the 'Wit Society', means the opposite of what wit is traditionally taken to mean.

Donne himself would be proud, I'm sure, of your subversiveness, Mr. Profesh.

I simply want to say that there is a fine line between "Shining Wits" and the spoonerism (for those who don't know what that is... look it up). x x x
