First post since joining, thread seems fairly inactive, none the less we are the once deemed responsible for out-'witting' people.

I'm of the opinion that; if one has it, one should flaunt it: en garde.

I know you have wit, but it's ****ing slow.

It took you that long to come up with a reply?

Presuming that this is anything other than the first time I've actually deigned to visit in the six days since you delivered your tentative denunciation of my faculties as host.

An abiding irony of the 'Wit' Society, is that the veritable compass of its name-sake bends externally.

When one has emphasized his uncanny love for non-sequitur bull****tdium, he achieves the sort of of ego that makes space and time bend, so that they are they able to flick a spoon and end up hitting themselves in the back of their head.

I too aspire to this meaningless end of portraying myself as some sort of modern-day Oscar Wilde. Forget it, no actor would happily tape their *******s to their stomach to play me.

This Society surely could do with an injection of some activity?

Here's my contribution.

Actually, with respect to this particular society, it's what's on the outside that counts.

Inasmuch as it's possible to be 'witty' in virtually any language; I should think so.

To wit (or not), the perennial:

C:\DOS
C:\DOS\RUN
RUN\DOS\RUN

Quite obviously, I've lost touch with that series.

They really need to resume broadcasting that programme here. I adored it.
