Standalone modules and eligibility for postgraduate loan

I'm hoping to gain a place on the MSt Genomic Medicine course at Cambridge but they have advised I do the first module of the programme as a standalone module to demonstrate that I can study at that level and make my application stronger.

If I'm then accepted onto the full masters, my question is how would this affect a postgraduate loan application? I can take a credit or non-credit bearing version of the module, and so could transfer the credits from that module into the masters, but would this prevent my loan application being successful? Thanks!

Hi there, students must be undertaking a full stand alone master's course. They are unable to transfer credits from a previous course into the masters in order to complete. You may however complete the primary course, and then can apply for the masters course separately. Thanks, Stephen
