Cardiff, Loughborough or Lancaster for History & Politics

Need help with deciding which university to go with to study BA History & Politics.
The place needs to be campus based, large with greenery. Have some social life (not into clubbing and drinking) . Easy to get to town.

Hi Anon,
Whilst i don't study history and politics, i can provide a general insight into Lancaster university as have been studying here for 4 years.
Lancaster is a campus based university in the northwest of England, which makes it really convenient as all of your lectures, seminars, social space, eateries and accommodation are a short walk away (usually about 5-10 minutes, with a max distance of 15 minute walk if your at opposite ends of campus).
The campus itself is surrounded by greenery, being located just out of the city its surrounded by fields and a woodland. There's the woodland trail that runs around the campus perimeter which is great to get outside for a nice walk in-between studying. Or alternatively you can walk from campus to the city by following the canal which takes just over an hour.
In terms of the city, Lancaster is well connected to the campus, with the buses running very frequently during term time (about every 5 minutes), and it takes about 15 minutes on the bus to get into Lancaster city center. Lancaster is also really well connected to other areas of the country by train, with the cities of Manchester and Liverpool being just over an hour away, the lake district being 40 minutes away and even London is only 2.5 hours away.
The city itself if beautiful and historic with a real community feel. There's lots of independent shops and cafes to explore, with a good variety of nightlife. Lancaster has quite a lot of live music venues, if this is something your intrested in, as well as a more chilled selection of bars and pubs, that are open to everyone.
Hope this helps, and if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!
