Just wondering how long it’s gonna take

Hey, so I received offers from SOAS almost two weeks ago now and Essex three weeks ago (which was a late substitute choice) but I haven’t heard anything from Sussex or Royal Holloway. UEA is currently processing my application but idk what’s taking the other two so long? I’m transferring unis so I wonder if that’s why? I’m just asking cause I entered through clearing last time which is instant so I just was wondering if this was common for unis to take ages (I did apply on the 27th Jan)

Unis have until May to send responses - you are probably going to need to be a bit more patient.

Oh I am patient I just am naturally excited about receiving offers and I didn’t go through the normal process last time so wasn’t too sure how long it usually takes

Hey, congrats on your offers so far! It’s great that UEA is currently processing your application—hopefully, you’ll hear back soon. Universities can take varying amounts of time to respond, especially when it comes to transfers, as they may need to assess your previous study in more detail.

Since you applied on the 27th of Jan, it’s still within the typical timeframe, but if you’re getting anxious, you could reach out to Sussex and Royal Holloway admissions teams directly to check on your application status. In the meantime, if you have any questions about UEA or the student experience, feel free to ask—happy to help! 😊

Best,

Congratulations on your offers! 🙂

Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer for a response from the rest of your applications.
