University of Leeds clearing/transfer

1. Does the university of leeds usually have clearing for aerospace/aeronautical engineering? If so are the requirements lower or different for transferring students
2. Is it possible to transfer via clearing from another university? i.e. how would i do this (would i have to make a ucas application or phone the uni on clearing day?)

1. Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering BEng at Leeds was in Clearing last year for UK applicants. I can't comment on whether or not it usually is. The Clearing requirements last year were: "A Level: AAA to include Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry. General Studies and Critical Thinking excluded. GCSE: 4/C in English". That's one grade below the A*AA they were asking last year prior to Clearing.

2. Well, you wouldn't really be transferring. You'd be dropping out of one uni and starting again at a different uni. Yes, you would need a full UCAS application (which would need to include details of your current uni) and yes you would need to contact Leeds when Clearing opens (which is on 5th July this year).

Assuming you're in Year 1 right now, this will use up your "gift year" with student finance.
