"Better" in what sense? What are your criteria?

that would be teaching and employability mostly. i would also consider prestige, though i feel like that might be related to employability?

From the National Student Survey (published on The Uni Guide here for Economics at KCL and here for Economics at LSE), they're very similar in terms of teaching (according to students who study there):

Staff make the subject interesting: 78% at KCL vs. 74% at LSE
Staff are good at explaining things: 84% at KCL vs. 85% at LSE
Ideas and concepts are explored in-depth: 84% at KCL vs. 85% at LSE
Opportunities to apply what I've learned: 67% at KCL vs. 65% at LSE

However, things diverge when it comes to data from the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Survey (same sources as above):

Average annual salary: £35,000 at KCL vs. £52,000 at LSE
Employed or in further education: 80% at KCL vs. 89% at LSE
Top job areas of graduates from KCL 21% Business, finance and related associate professionals / 19% Sales, marketing and related associate professionals / 15% Business, research and administrative professionals
Top job areas of graduates from LSE: 37% Business, finance and related associate professionals / 35% Business, research and administrative professionals / 7% Sales, marketing and related associate professionals

So graduates from LSE are more likely to be employed or in further education, are far more likely to be working in a relevant area, and earn significantly more.

Reputation is a somewhat nebulous quality, but I'd say that LSE has a better reputation for Economics that KCL.
