Go university or not

Im not sure whether to go to university, work, do an apprentiship or what. I currently study a levels for business, criminology and sociology and know I would like to start a business in the near future based on baking which is one of my main interests. I have applied to do a degree in business through UCAS but im unsure if a degree is necessary for the plans that I have. If anyone has any guidance or ideas it would be much appreciated

If theres some kind of apprenticeship in the field of work you wanna do, im not sure what opportunities there are for baking but have a look and see. Honestly i wouldnt go uni for business unless you’re trying to specialise. You can run ur own business without uni thats just unnecessary debt tbh. Best bet would be apprenticeship if you want experience otherwise see if theres a specialist college or uni for baking and try save money till ur able to start ur business

Try looking for jobs in artisan bakeries, catering companies, delis, etc. Even a part-time job serving customers will begin to build your business knowledge and skills, and it will help you decide if the sector is right for you.
