First school party but its on my bday what do i do

Finally the first school party is being hosted...but its on my birthday. My mum and dad don't want me to go bc they've invited loads of fam friends to 'wish me' (tho really its just bc those people have invited them over before so they're most likely using my bday as an excuse). Im scared of FOMO and much rather try and be there for the first party than with adults who are there under false pretences. But every time I try and persuade them to let me go they just play the massive guilt card. Please give help and the right advice thanksss.

Is it possible at all to do both? Also are you ok with not spending your birthday with your family? If you don't want to I can see why going to this party is better but at the same time I'm sure your parents would also like to celebrate your birthday with you. Of course the choice is ultimately up to you but honestly I'm sure this party won't be the last. I'm sure they'll be a chance to go to many others. 😊. Hope this was useful

(just found out that the most they’d let me stay at the party is 8.30 as well) but anyway it’s not about them wanting to spend time with me lol otherwise i wouldn’t have argued it’s more about the people they’ve invited home so i would have to cut a cake in front of them and all that

Making you stay at home just because of visitors is pretty mean tbh. I wish i could give better advice but I'm not sure what more to say 😅. I guess make the most of it? Sorry that's not more helpful. I hope that whatever happens you still have a great birthday 😊
