Im currently doing my Psychology dissertation and finding it hard to get start the structure / literature review. Anyone have any tips that can help?

for my lit review (psych based epq) i first made sections of each type of literature based on topic and side of argument, and the plan really helped me move forward. Here I'll share it with you so you get an idea, regardless of subject it makes the writing soo much easier

research question: to what extent is uncanny valley a result of human evolution?
purpose: resolve the controversies in literature about the presence of uncanny valley in children

What I'm investigating

•

Key theorist

Chapter 1 - What is uncanny valley

Chapter 2 - evolution

•

Darwin’s theory of evolution

•

How uncanny valley is based on evolution

•

Theoretical discussions

•

EMPIRICAL discussions

•

Problems with this theory overall

•

Conclusion - how far?

Chapter 3

•

theories alternative to evolution suggested by literature but still innate

•

theories alternative to innateness as a whole suggested by literature

•

Problems with each of these and which win

Chapter 4 - uncanny valley in children

•

studies conducted on children with reference to uncanny valley and children

•

Info on children and emotions

•

Summarise all other chapters and conclude existence in children with reference to problems and strengths of theories and sources
