Hey,

There's lots of ways you could go about this.

You could contact local businesses and ask for work experience.

But you could also think outside of the box and contact a local GP surgery, for example, and ask to get work experience in their admin team.

Hello there!

Finding work experience in business, HR, or admin can be easier than you think! There are plenty of ways to gain experience and boost your CV before starting your career.
A great place to start is LinkedIn, Indeed, or Prospects, where you can find internships and placements. Websites like RateMyPlacement are also great for student-friendly opportunities. If you're in college or university, check with your career services office, as they often have connections with businesses offering internships.

You can also apply directly to companies, they offer business placements. Local businesses and startups are often open to short-term admin support, so don’t be afraid to reach out!

If you want something more flexible, consider volunteering or part-time jobs in charities, retail, or student societies, where you can gain valuable business and admin skills.

For a structured placement, Coventry University offers Business Management degrees with industry placements, helping students gain hands-on experience before graduating.

BSc International Business Management - https://www.coventry.ac.uk/course-structure/ug/fbl/international-business-management-bsc-hons/

The key is to start early, be open to different roles, and apply to as many opportunities as possible, even short experiences can help you stand out! 😊

I hope this helps!
Good luck!
