primark working on tills all day

i started working at primark around 6 months ago now, but i’ve just always been put on tills all day. i was wondering if that is normal because other people get to do a bit of everything. i find it quite hard to stay on the tills for the whole day im working and i was wondering if it will change eventually or if i have to ask.
