Preparing for STEP Mathematics 2025

I hope some of you out there would have received an offer for math's at Cambridge for 2025 entry.
I didn't get an offer but I will be appearing for STEP in June 2025.
If anybody is interested PM me we may learn quickly by collaborating.

Youre anonymous? Why are you doing step if you didnt get an offer?

I mistakenly posted it as anonymous.

Usually working through step is pretty much individual so not really sure about what youre looking for with pms? Have you properly started with step 2 and 3 preparation yet and if youre unsure about any questions etc, you could post in the maths help?

i might be wrong but im 90% sure you can't transfer step grades across years. so you'd have to do step again *anyways* even if you got like an SS this year.
someone please fact check me on this because i dont want to be spreading misinformation

I think theyve asked this on another thread and usually people are asked to resit step. So youre correct, but I guess the op is doing it this year to strengthen their (re)application.

i didnt see an option for adding a past STEP result on your UCAS application (*I might be wrong, and it might also be valuable as a part of your personal statement). Sure, if it works, it works, but why spend the extra money when you can just do the past paper.

It seems to be a reasonably common perception for some international students, who attempt step in y12 to put on the original application. How much it helps is unsure, so the strengthen in the previous post is probably "not hinder" and would probably be mentioned in the personal statement. With enough practice / grind, most applicants should have a decent chance at meeting the usual step offer, though only ~50% of the offers actually do and its a fair effort to do at the same time as your a levels.
