HKU-UCL dual degree for law

I am considering applying for the HKU-UCL dual degree but my GCSEs are the weaker side but I am currently in year 12 excepting high predicted grades. What do you think are my chances of getting in, how competitive is it compared to the regular UCL LLB and if I did get it what is life in HKU and Hong Kong in general and what I might experience as a black person. Also I do not have much work experience to put on my personal statement, do you think I should look for some - will it make me stand out?
Thank you so much

UCL LLB is super competitive, competition for UCL-HKU joint LLB is even more severe. There were only a handful successful candidates. That said, there is no harm to try. Remember to include choices that you are more confident in your UCAS application.

Hong Kong is very wonderful, but also very expensive. I think you can settle in well.

Your work experience and academic reading will make you stand out. Also I’d research about being a black student in Hong Kong and look at student satisfaction and personal accounts of other black students. Good luck!
