Student Exchange

I’m planning on doing a exchange in USA high school but im planning on doing it while sixth form year, can i join sixth form slightly later or leave sixth form early to take a exchange year?

Hi, I'm planning on doing a high school exchange too! I'm in my last year of sixth form, and then I'm going on to do the exchange as part of my gap year. I think if you do decide to take a year out of sixth form, they may let you join a year later (I'm assuming you haven't joined sixth form yet?) But they may also have a specific age restriction cut-off point, e.g., 17 years and 6 months, or alternatively check with the programme/school if it's possible to join them after. Hope that helps.
