How much of my accommodation might SAAS cover? I want to apply for accommodation (Edinburgh uni) this week and I can't work out if I'll get any of my student finance towards it.

Depends on how much SAAS offers you. I think the lowest they give out (based on household income and a few other variables) is £8400. I applied for accomodation for edinburgh this morning and several of them were just above this - a couple are £8750 - and there were lots of options between £3000 - £7000 too that don't even use up your whole loan. There are also options that are on the more expensive end that are around £11000 and £12000. Hope this helps and good luck with choosing accomodation!
