UCAS offers advice needed

My main 2 offers are University of Birmingham to study Law LLB at AA in 2 subjects, the other from University of Nottingham to study law LLB at BB in 2 subjects. This is because I got an A* in French in Year 12 as I took it early.
Would it make best sense to put UoB first and Nottingham as insurance?

Also because in my offer it says '2 remaining subject' technically I could just fail the 3rd subject right if I get the 2 As in my other 2. I will obviously not fail it probably not revise it as much and get a C, its English Literature.
Do you prefer Nottingham or Birmingham? Forget the offer grades and think about which place and course you prefer

Put whichever you'd prefer to go to as your primary. Don't take the lesser grade requirement from Nottingham as any indication on how the course will be (I studied their LLB so may be bias) . Many universities offer lower boundaries if you have a confirmed grade already (granted I've only seen this in regard to gap year students who have all their A Levels, it would make sense to also apply in your scenario). If you gave notice of your third (technically 4th) subject in UCAS, I'd say it's definitely safe to assume that grade won't matter so long as you meet the requirements with the others. Just remember, while A Levels matter significantly less on completion of undergraduate degree, they've been requested in every application of mine and they may be relevant to mini pupillages / vacation schemes whilst you're studying at university so try not to completely bin it off (not that you were suggesting that extent!) just because you want the best across the board representation you can give! Best of luck!

Given that UoB is asking for more than Nottingham - unless you personally prefer Nottingham over UoB - I'd put UoB as your firm.
