Universities have until May to make their decisions - and applying in January was never going to get you a quick decision.

But thousands of other people applied around the same time as you (i.e., near the deadline) - there's a fixed number of admissions staff, so of course it will always take longer.

Well, you applied at the absolute busiest time of the entire application cycle.
I always told people who called asking for a decision that I could reject them the same day if they wanted. Very few took me up on it.
