Hi there,

It's great to hear that you are interested in geography! I study it here at Chester, and I love it.

There are so many things you can do with a geography degree, so I don't see why project management wouldn't be one of them. For example, consulting, planning, GIS, education, research, etc. Prospects is a great webpage to browse to learn more about what you can get and where you can go with your degree. A quick search will also tell you all of this!

If that is something you are seriously thinking of pursuing, ensure you tailor your modules to your interests and keep an eye out for work experience/internships, volunteering, and part-time work that might be relevant. These will be super helpful for you!

I hope this helps,

Hey Leomtch,
First off, if you're talking about a degree in something like Business, Management, or a related field, there are quite a few career paths you could follow. Some of the common ones include:

1.

Project Management Since you're interested in project management, this degree is definitely useful! You could go into managing projects in pretty much any industry—construction, IT, marketing, etc.

2.

Business Analyst You'd help companies improve their processes, making them more efficient.

3.

Marketing/Brand Manager If you're into creativity and strategy, this could be a great path.

4.

Operations Manager Overseeing the day-to-day running of a company or department.

5.

Human Resources Working with people, recruitment, and employee relations.

6.

Consultancy Advising companies on how to improve and solve problems.

In terms of project management, most degrees like this give you the skills you need, like leadership, communication, and problem-solving, which are key in project management. If you're looking to get into it, you might also consider certifications like Agile, etc., which can give you an extra boost and make you even more prepared for the role.

Hope this helps.
