Cooked for RE gcse advice needed 🙏

Heyy everyone
I have my RE gcse this May but to be honest, I really need some help.
On my paper 1 managed to get an 8 (I think grade boundaries were low though) but for paper 2 I got grade 6. I am doing ocr (not short course)
My main problem are 6 markers and 15 markers - which is bad because they basically take up the whole test.
I use a good structure, quotes, sources, range etc. but somehow even when my friends see my practice answers, they can tell that they're bad before I even ask for my teacher's opinion.
Does anyone have any advice on how to improve on them or what to keep in mind whilst writing them?
I also am really bad with timing but I guess the only thing I can do is practice with past papers :frown:

what exam board are you? I do aqa and I don't have to do 15 markers lol so I'm assuming that you're a different exam board, but anyway yeah it should all be the same kinda thing

what seems to be the issue with your questions then, is it more that you run out of time, or are you answering the question in a different way as to what it is asked maybe?

one good yt channel to look at for RE is Ben Wardle (i think thats what it is) so have a look at that and see if its any help to you

I'm doing ocr and I have a problem with timing (😔) but also my answers just make no sense even if I try to follow a good structure. I don't really know how to develop them well and keep the key points.

ah okay yeah im not really familiar with ocr lol, is it just Christianity and Islam that you do?

hmm yeah timings can be quite an issue, one good thing that you can do for big mark questions is make a plan. like ik its extremely hard and time consuming to sit there and write out a plan which seems pointless bc you could just be writing the actual answer in that time, but what I do is look through all of the 12 markers (we luckily dont have 15 lol) first and if ik points about them straight away then ill start writing it, and as soon as i run out of ideas I'll just stop and move onto the other questions because RE exams are quite tight on time. while im writing the other answers (which are all shorter and tend to be easier tbf) I'm always thinking in the back of my head, or scribbling down on a piece of paper random points I could add to my big answer. again I do the same thing if i cant think of any points immediately when looking at the question, i'll start doing the easy short ones and just keep thinking of point i can use for the 12 marker, and often there small parts in the shorter questions that are actually quite helpful to use as points for the big ones

i dont really understand how ur answer doesnt make sense if you're following a structure (but thats just me being a bit daft) could you explain that a bit more lol i just wanna try understand whats going on
