Maths

Hi all,
I'm Saanika I'm in year 12 doing aqa maths (a-level), I don't know if it is just me but I feel like like I'm going a lot of work but it is not coming out in the exams. Anyone know any good tips or tutors?

Hi im also a year 12 but I do edexcel maths, but I'm sure my tips will be transferable(because maths is maths).

My main methods are to have a go at the pmt questions per topic and going over the textbook questions/practice book.

Id also recommend naiker maths website(because he's my teacher) but he's a bit more edexcel based but I've heard that these questions are harder so you'll get better at maths by doing them anyway.

The main takeaway should be not if im doing a lot of work but it should am I doing the work in the right place? If you've found particular topics where you lost marks on then go over the topic questions on pmt and read the mark scheme and examiner report once you've attempted the questions. This'll give you an idea on how firstly answer the question and also you'll see where the rest of students who actually sat the exam would've lost marks on and often the examiner gives tips on how to improve.

Sorry for the long winded reply but mainly just do tons of practice questions wherever you can find them(i recommend pmt, textbook, practice book and naiker maths).

I hope it all works out for you, have a great day

I do OCR Maths but for maths there isn't much difference between exam boards. What I do is watching a video on a channel like BicenMaths or TLMaths then I do some exam style questions on DrFrost, MadasMaths or PMT. It can help to teach someone else a concept if you’re struggling with it. Hope this helps and happy to answer questions 🙂
