Uni of bristol accommodation 2025

Hi i’ve applied to uni of bristol and am looking into accommodation. It’s all so expensive in bristol so i can’t afford most of the blocks - i reckon this will work in my favour tho coz i’ll avoid all the posh people. I wanna know what block is best. I’m looking at west village because it’s mostly cheaper and nearer the city, but i’m worried it’s less sociable - i definitely want to be in a social flat, going out a lot. I hear north village is very social but it’s all very expensive. I’ve looked at manor hall and that seems good - is it very sociable? For 2025 applications you don’t actually get a choice of block which is annoying but if just like to know so i can judge my odds of being in a good flat. Any info would be appreciated.

I lived in West Village a few years ago, and tbh I don't think the halls you get will massively change how social your flat is. There will be ppl wanting to go out a lot in all halls. What I will say is that Manor Hall does have blocks where you can be sharing the kitchen with around 20 other ppl, so this might be ideal if you're looking to max your chance of meeting ppl you like. I would say focus on what you can afford and the facilities you're looking for as Bristol is super expensive so make the most of the uni's halls because the private housing market for students is really awful in this city! Best of luck with uni and feel free to ask any others accom qs.
