Can I apply to another course while enrolled in UCL?

I am a student in UCL who wants to move to other courses desperately. I am planning to take A levels again, to move to another course because I don't want to study in this current course.
I want to ask:
1. Is applying to another course in UCAS possible while taking a gap year in Uni?( since I can have both options: transferring to another course if the applications were unsuccessful.)
2. Generally, I need advices, I'm also considering to take a master's degree to specialise and just finish the course that I am taking.

P.S The course that I am taking is interdisciplinary course, where the core modules are vague, and requires me to do broad studies while making nearly impossible to specialise in a certain sector. Some might say 'interdisciplinary' will be a sector but I strongly disagree.

You dont need to retake your A levels - this Foundation at Southampton is designed for those with good grades but in the 'wrong' subjects and it would lead directly to a CS degree : Engineering/Physics/Maths Foundation Year | University of Southampton Give them a call and see if they are still accepting applications for 2025 entry.
