When to apply for student finance
Just wondered (as a first time student) when to apply for student finance and how it works for a Foundation Degree undergraduate course, I haven’t had an offer yet but unsure if I can apply before this or will I need to wait? And would also be great to know how student finance works (in terms of applying), Thanks! ☺️

Is this even if I haven’t been accepted into the course yet, or do I need to wait for a reply, do you know the deadline for student finance applications for courses starting in November 2025?😊

Hi there, you can apply now and then amend or cancel the application if you change your course. We always advise applying by the 18th of May to avoid any delays in funding. But you do have 9 months from the start of your course to apply. Just be advised the later you apply then the higher chance of a delay in payments being awarded. Thanks, Jason
