Medicine resources

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on studying medicine and I was wondering if anyone has any resources that could help me get started? i've heard of passmed and passmedicine but do you think its worth the price?
I want to make the most of this summer, especially because of my academic scholarship.
Please let me know if there are any other sites or apps or anything really.

Save your money. Personally I wouldn't bother paying for any question banks like Quesmed or Passmed until you have a solid understanding of medical knowledge and placement experience, which will come in later years of study. I say this as the questions are generally hard (some to F1 standard) and require a pre-requisite of knowledge in order to be answered. Unless you already know of specific symptoms, investigations and treatments of diseases, but I'm assuming you don't if you haven't started, I think you'd be wasting your money.

My medical school uses Osmosis and Complete Anatomy which are two resources which I would recommend, the former particularly if you were to get anything. It has a bunch of short comprehensive videos which teach you about conditions, anatomy etc as well as quizzes if that's more your thing. I would say that's a better tool to get started and getting ahead than any question bank at this stage.
