Columbia Uni still an Ivy?

3 weeks ago, before the recent protest, had a call w my parent and Columbia admissions about safety and what’s Columbia doing about it.The admissions officer kept going on mute - parent was unhappy with mute & “safety is priority”. Parent was saying “when is campus going to be safe for everyone??? Admissions saying “student safety is priority”. Parent refused make deposit payment.
Now the arrests, more protests. Parent saying - if this was in UK or anywhere you would not have to chose UK Uni which was safe.
Saying it WAS an Ivy, now it’s an Uni with no president because no one wants the job. Says Best student avoid it now
Anyone in same situation?
