Getting honors with a failed module

Hi guys, im currently in my final year, 2nd semester and I just got my exam results for my 1st semester. I was disheartened to find out I failed one of my modules. I was really upset with myself and I just wanted to ask is it still possible to get an honors degee if I do well in my 2nd semester? Or is that out of the table. This is the first module ive failed and Im still trying as hard as I can in my second semester. Ive already contacted my tutor about this, but I just wanted to maybe get some insight from other people or people who have been in the same situation. Thanks again

That’s probably something to ask your university again/wait for the tutor’s response or ask the people who run your course as every university and course calculates overall grades differently.

This will likely be university specific in my opinion.

You have the option to resit the failed module. However the mark will be capped at 40%. This will impact your grade point average. If its a 20-credit module then it will have a big impact.
