Sorry to hear that but i hope you'll get something else. Do you mind if I ask you about your experience? I have a similar thing coming up there and want to see what I can learn beforehand. I sent a private message, so if you're willing to share you can respond to it.

Would be worth looking on reddit for more info but from my experience with the apprentice application, the initial call was to see whether i was elegible and only a formality. With all job apps, you should do your hw asap though. Come up with a reason why you like the company (look at their values), come up with a reason why you want the role and try to cater any exprience youve had to the above. Its what you gotta do with all applications. Come up with some brief ideas and then maybe ask chatgpt to help you formulate an answer. The assessment center will depend on your role. I think for SWE itll be a basic python test on what you know about string manipulation (converting numbers to roman numerals etc) and other typical stuff so go look online for stuff like that, then an interview about your motivations so standard behavioural qs. Reddit is the best place to ask too!

My goodness😭 the hiring manager looked so disappointed. She was making faces every time I answered a question. Unexpectedly she also asked my degree classification. I said I had a high distinction in masters, and she also proceeded to ask undergrad, and when I said 2:2 for undergrad, she also seemed disappointed 🤣 idk if I'm going to make it through to be honest.

But thank you so much for your help
