Intention to Excluded
Hi there,
I am getting a letter from my university that I might get excluded from low attendance. I have been ill the whole last week, and my attendance is really low. Now i got to appeal the exclusion? Im not trying to get excludeded from uni, I have no proof that i was ill but I messaged them during that week that I was ill.

I’m not too sure about the exact process, but I would definitely recommend speaking to your personal tutor about your situation. They should be able to guide you on the best way to proceed. It’s important to explain the circumstances, and even though you don’t have formal proof of your illness, the fact that you communicated with them during that week could help show your commitment to your studies despite the illness. Hi,
I am sorry you are having to deal with this while being unwell. It seems strange that they would pull you up on missing a week of lectures so perhaps your attendance is low overall? Either way, I recommend contacting your personal/academic tutor, they are here to help with situations like this. They may suggest you get a doctors note or may be able to clarify the confusion with attendance.

You wouldn’t be excluded over five days so I can only assume there was some prior missed days, or that this notice is just a warning about attendance. Either way, take on board whatever they say and keep engaging with the department.

Presumably you had poor attendance before being ill for a week?
