Advice for 0417 ICT

Paper 2 and 3 are extremely easy but I find paper 1 hard. Any tips on how to ace paper 1?

honestly the only thing hard about p1 is recalling stuff from a somewhat lengthy syllabus. unlike other igcse papers, ict theory questions are relatively straightforward and dont try tricking you. its just that there's a lot to remember (kinda similar to bio but some questions might be intriguing). just try mastering your overall understanding of the syllabus. dont just read notes, but practice methods of active recall (like blurting/flashcards). the good news is that ICT thresholds are very lenient and the two practical papers contribute to the majority of your final mark. for comparison, if you lost a total of 20 unweighed marks from both of your practical papers (120/70+70) and get only 45/80 in theory, you're still gonna get a few marks over the A* mark.

(45/80 x 40/100 x 280)
gives you 207/280, 4 marks over last years thresholds for A* for the variants im giving (12, 22, 31).
