QMUL or Surrey for Maths Bsc

Hello everyone,
I was wondering which would be the best option out of Qmul and Surrey for maths, both are with a year in placement. For Qmul I recieved an offer of BBC and Surrey ACC. I’m kind of torn between both since Qmul is a Russell Group and in London (where I live) and has better networking opportunities but I’ve not heard a lot of good things about the uni. Surrey is higher ranked but isn’t Russell Group and is not too far from London. Either way, I would live in accoms but im not too sure which would be better for graduate prospects and student life. And should I put one as my insurance and one as my firm since the grades are quite similar.
Thank you for your time!!

Have you been to open days for both? They're quite different, in terms of location and "vibe". Which did you prefer?

Pay no attention to the "Russell Group" thing. It's a group who sole aim is to market their member universities. Some of the best universities in the country are not members (I'm thinking of St. Andrews and Bath, but there are others too).

I can't talk about the student life at either university, but according to the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Survey, published on The Uni Guide, Mathematics BSc (Hons) 4 years Sandwich at University of Surrey has much better graduate prospects than Mathematics 4years Sandwich including industrial placement at Queen Mary University of London.

The stats below are what graduates from each course are doing sixth months after having graduated (taken from the links above):

Queen Mary
Average annual salary: £31,000
Employed or in further education: 87%
Employed in a role where degree was essential or beneficial: 70%

Surrey
Average annual salary: £34,000
Employed or in further education: 95%
Employed in a role where degree was essential or beneficial: 85%

I know which I'd choose.
